Abstract Background Our previous studies demonstrated that the administration of crude Polysaccharide from Panax notoginseng (CPPN) can effectively prolong lifespan tumor-bearing mice via boosting host immune system as well weak cytotoxicity against hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
